CashBack Platinum MasterCard®: Earn 5% cash back on gas, grocery and drug store purchases and 1% on all other purchases made with your CashBack Platinum MasterCard for the first 90 days. As an extra bonus during your first 90 days, you will earn an additional 5% cash back, for a total of 10% cash back, on your first $2,000 of grocery store purchases (a maximum of $100 additional cash back). After the 90-day promotion period, you will earn 1% cash back on all purchases. You must apply for a new CashBack Platinum MasterCard® account between 11/1/14 and 12/31/14 to receive the 10% cash back on grocery store purchases offer. Citizens Bank, N.A. will determine the total dollar amount of qualified purchases made during the 90-day promotion. The assignment of any qualified purchase to a Merchant Category will be solely determined by us and will be based upon the type of merchant rather than the nature of the product or service purchased. Grocery purchases at certain discount or other stores may not be reported by the retailer as such and will not earn the cash back bonus. The additional 5% bonus cash back will be posted by June 30, 2015 to your credit card statement and will appear on your statement as “GroceryStore Spend Reward”.
The account must be in good standing to receive the additional bonus. See your Credit Card Agreement Terms and Conditions for details. No cash back points will be awarded on purchases of gift cards and lottery tickets. Once you have applied for an account you will be notified of the status within 30 days. Your 90- day promotional offer will start on the date your account is approved, allowing up to an additional 20 days for you to receive and activate your card. Your card typically arrives within 10 days once your application is approved.
