CHICAGO, IL (September 19, 2005) - Continuing with the expansion of its Midwest public affairs team, Charter One today announced the appointment of Stacey R. Reineking as Vice President, Director of Public Affairs of Charter One Bank, Illinois. Reineking, 32, joins Charter One with 12 years of public relations, marketing and corporate communications experience in and around the Chicagoland area.

In her new position, Reineking is responsible for overseeing all public relations, media relations, charitable giving and government affairs throughout Illinois. For the past three years, Reineking was the director of corporate communications at Forsythe Technology, Inc. where she focused extensively on key message development and implementation of integrated strategic communications programs.
A native of Illinois, Reineking received a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Illinois in Champaign. Reineking is an active member of the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce, Executive's Club of Chicago, Public Relations Society of America, Parkways Foundation and the International Association of Business Communicators. She is also a member of the i.c. stars board, an organization that provides opportunities for inner city young adults through training and technology for careers in information technology.
