INDIANAPOLIS (February 22, 2005) - Charter One Bank announced today it will partner with The Children's Museum of Indianapolis to host a free day of admission on Monday, February 21 from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm. With more than 11 major galleries, The Children's Museum of Indianapolis is the largest children's museum in the world and the pride of Indianapolis.
To celebrate the launch of its new corporate identity in Indiana, Charter One will celebrate its “brand opening” by treating museum guests with extended museum hours and a full day of fun-filled activities for the family. Some highlights of celebration include:
- “Where's the President?” Treasure Hunt, an interactive treasure hunt in honor of Presidents Day, where children can explore museum exhibits in search of life size replicas of U.S. Presidents. Special prizes will be awarded to all participants.
- Special appearance by Josh Williams, Indianapolis Colts defensive tackle.
- Colts-In-Motion, an exhibit offering a fun and interactive history of the Indianapolis Colts, will be on hand for children of all ages to explore and enjoy. As part of Charter One's sponsorship of the Indianapolis Colts, this traveling exhibit will be featured at all Colts home games.
- Photographers will capture the fun and excitement with family and friends and provide guests with family photographs.
- Free Rides on the Carousel of Wishes and Dreams, the museum's featured attraction, compliments of Charter One.
- Charter One President's Day Parade, where children of all ages will march through the museum led by George Washington and Crisp E. Bill, a roaming dollar bill who will discuss money with visitors.
“We want Indianapolis to know that we're thrilled to be here and that our number one priority is our customers,” said Norm Hatch, President & CEO of Charter One Bank, Indiana. “This is a goodwill gesture to demonstrate to the public our commitment to customer service and the community and to show our enthusiasm about doing business in Indiana.”
The free day is intended to familiarize area residents with the “new” Charter One Bank and its new slogan – “Not your typical bank.” Last September, Charter One was acquired by Citizens Financial Group. While the highly recognizable Charter One name will remain, the bank will change its colors from red and blue to Citizens green.
Customers at Charter One Bank's 57 Indiana branches can look forward to improved resources as a result of combining the two leading financial institutions - meaning legendary customer service, better products and services and more community involvement than ever before, including more than three times as much in charitable contributions.
