Ken Marblestone named President of Charter One in Ohio
CLEVELAND (October 27, 2009) - Charter One announced today that Kenneth E. Marblestone has been named President of Charter One in Ohio. Marblestone previously served as the head of the Specialized Industries group at Charter One in Michigan.

Marblestone, 52, brings more than 20 years of banking experience and a long list of accomplishments to the Ohio market. Upon joining Charter One in 2005, he created Charter One’s specialized industries group in Michigan, building a $500 million portfolio in just three years. The portfolio includes a variety of nonprofit entities, such as colleges, universities and health care organizations; professionals firms including law, accounting and title insurance companies; and other specialized organizations.
Prior to joining Charter One, Marblestone was partner and managing director of iCap Realty Advisors, a national commercial mortgage-banking firm. He previously held senior management positions at NBD Bank in Detroit and served in a variety of areas including wealth management, middle market and consumer lending divisions.

Marblestone said he plans to continue to build upon Charter One’s tradition of giving back to the community. In Michigan, he served on the boards of Gleaners Community Food Bank of Southeastern Michigan, the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit, Jewish Vocational Services and the Michigan Colleges Foundation.

Marblestone holds a bachelors of arts in business administration from Albion College and an M.B.A. from Michigan State University. Ken and his wife have three daughters.
