Charter One helps brighten the holidays for hundreds of children in northeast Ohio

Charter One and Cleveland Cavaliers partner to present the Eric Snow Toy Drive, deliver toys to children

CLEVELAND        (December 19, 2007) - Hundreds of underprivileged children in northeast Ohio will receive toys this holiday season thanks to Charter One, the Cleveland Cavaliers and Cavaliers’ player Eric Snow.

The Eric Snow Toy Drive has provided more than 1,000 underprivileged children with gifts for the holidays over the past two years. This is the first year Charter One, with support from the Charter One Foundation, has partnered with the Cavaliers and Eric Snow.

“Charter One customers demonstrated a great spirit of giving this year and donated hundreds of toys for children in our community,” said Ned Handy, President, Charter One, Ohio. “With support from our customers, we will bring smiles to children and families across northeast Ohio this holiday season.”
 
Charter One collected toys for the Eric Snow Toy Drive at 90 bank branches in greater Cleveland, Akron and Canton.

Charter One volunteers will join with Eric Snow and other representatives from the Cavs to deliver toys to children at the following locations:

Friday, December 21 at 11:00 a.m.
Anton Grdina Elementary School

3050 E 77th St., Cleveland
200 students pre-selected will receive gifts. Eric Snow will be in attendance.

Friday, December 21 at 3:30 p.m.
University Settlement

4800 Broadway Avenue, Cleveland
100 children selected from the after school program will receive gifts. Eric Snow will be in attendance.

Saturday, December 22 from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m.
Canton YWCA

231 6th St. NE, Canton
200 children pre-selected will receive toys. Two representatives from Eric Snow’s Shoot for the Moon Foundation and the Cavs will be in attendance.
