Charter One and The Diversity Center of Northeast Ohio recognize young leaders for leadership and commitment to diversity
CLEVELAND (January 30, 2013) – Charter One and The Diversity Center of Northeast Ohio recognized young leaders and presented special awards to two exemplary students at the Youth Leadership Luncheon on Friday, January 25.
More than 200 students representing 23 Northeast Ohio schools attended the luncheon held in honor of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The students in attendance were recognized for their leadership and commitment to diversity in their schools and in the community. Two local students, each nominated by a school official, were recognized as Diversity Champions. They were awarded $100 gift cards courtesy of Charter One.
“My colleagues at Charter One and I are proud to recognize these students and thank them for the work they do – from promoting diversity in their schools to their civic involvement throughout our community,” said Ken Marblestone, President of Charter One and RBS Citizens in Ohio. “It gives me great hope for the future when I spend time with such remarkable young men and women.”
